The SCOC’s mission is to facilitate unity, collaboration, and shared power-building among community members. The SCOC aims to empower the community through the development and advocacy of community-based practices, programs, and policies. By fostering a spirit of collaboration, the SCOC aspires to create a positive and lasting impact, enhancing the overall well-being and resilience of the Rockingham County community.

The Sharon Community Outreach Corporation (SCOC) is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Stoneville, North Carolina. In partnership with the Sharon Missionary Baptist Church, the SCOC opened the Sharon Community Outreach Center to the Rockingham County community in September 2023. The center offers local organizations a convening space with a commercial kitchen, gymnasium, and conference room equipped with audio-visual equipment for hybrid meetings. The SCOC is a hub center in partnership with the Duke Endowment to host health clinics to increase the accessibility and availability of healthcare in Western Rockingham County.
