Jenny Edwards
SCOC Board Member
Jenny Edwards has spent more than two decades in public service through the non-profit sector—from the airwaves of NPR-affiliated public radio to the front lines of animal welfare, to the heart of environmental causes.
Jenny holds an MA in History from University of NC at Wilmington where her thesis work in the 90s centered on an African-American beach in New Hanover County. Jenny is deeply committed to fostering access to outdoors spaces and ensuring the planet we leave behind is one future generations can thrive on.
Currently, Jenny is involved with the Rockingham County Education Foundation and the RoCo Arts Council. She finds joy in partnering with individuals and aiding them in bringing their vision for a better community to fruition. Through education and arts, Jenny believes we are contributing to the economic prosperity of the county and a future that is inclusive, sustainable, and thriving.
Jenny resides in Rockingham County with her family, where they actively participate in preserving the legacy of the Old Time Scotch Collie, a heritage landrace of dogs that nearly went extinct.
