Taylor Palmer
SCOC Program Manager
Taylor Palmer hails from Millersville, Maryland where she was born and raised. A proud Maryland Terrapin, Taylor completed her Bachelor of Science degree from the Department of Behavioral and Community Health at the University of Maryland. In May 2023, Taylor completed her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from UMD.
During her studies, Taylor began working in North Carolina for MDC Rural Forward. Under the direction of MDC Partnership Manager, Merald Holloway, Taylor served as a program assistant working in Rockingham County. Taylor’s commitment to increasing the accessibility and availability of resources for North Carolinians led her to stay working in Rockingham County as the program Manager of the Sharon Community Outreach Center.
Taylor has experience with grant management from her time with the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO), as well as community engagement experience in West Baltimore during her time with the PATIENTS Program at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. In October 2023, Taylor became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
Taylor previously served on the Anti-Racism, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at the University of Maryland. She now serves a member of Rockingham County’s Cone Coalition.
Taylor is passionate about health equity and is dedicated to promoting community-based programming and policy development to shape a community where everyone can thrive.
